报告题目:The Evolution of Direct Sampling: Towards Quantitative Identification from Qualitative Probes

报告摘要:Sampling-type methods offer distinct advantages in inverse scattering: computational efficiency, implementation simplicity, measurement noise robustness, and reduced prior-information dependence. Nevertheless, conventional sampling techniques predominantly serve qualitative purposes, primarily designed for topological feature extraction such as coarse localization and geometric approximation of scatterers. This talk reveals the direct sampling method's quantitative identification capabilities. We rigorously demonstrate that the direct sampling method achieves both geometric characterization of unknown scatterers/sources and quantitative recovery of critical physical parameters—including precise reconstruction of source intensity distributions and identification of material constitutive properties.

报告人简介:刘晓东研究员,2004年本科毕业于北京师范大学,2010年博士毕业于中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院,之后留院工作,2011年至2013年在德国卡尔斯鲁厄理工学院做洪堡学者,刘晓东的研究方向是偏微分方程反问题,主要工作集中在基于波散射的反问题数学理论和算法设计。
